Life Skills actively promotes the development of British Values by teaching the importance of the rule of law and exploring the potential conflicts that can occur between faiths, beliefs and civil societies. The need for tolerance is promoted through topics such as Human Rights and students are encouraged to reflect on their own values and begin to question how these equate to living in modern Britain. Acceptance of others is at the core of the learning and many topics are addressed that allow a greater insight on stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination.
