GRAHAM SCHOOL IS PART OF

Religious Studies

Religious Studies

In Hope schools, high quality RS is provided for all pupils, which is inclusive and broad minded. RS at Graham School is taught in accordance with the local Agreed Syllabus for  North Yorkshire.

Parents do have the right to withdraw pupils from RS lessons, or any part of the RS curriculum: if you wish to do this, please make an appointment with the RS subject leader in school. Hope does not support selective withdrawal from RS. Our schools have a duty to supervise pupils withdrawn from RS, though not to provide additional teaching or to incur extra cost. Where the pupil has been withdrawn, alternative arrangements will be made for RS of the kind the parents/guardians want the pupil to receive. These arrangements will be made by the parents/guardians;- the school is not expected to make these arrangements. This RS could be provided at the school in question, or by another school in the locality. If neither approach is practicable, the pupil may receive external RS teaching as long as the withdrawal does not significantly impact on the child’s attendance.

Congratulations to this fab 5 who finished in joint first place in the year 8 girls 5-a-side partnership tournament at George Pindar School. Ruby I was on top form as she bagged 7 goals in the tournament. Special mention for Madi S who was playing a year group up. 🏆🤩#TeamGraham pic.twitter.com/MLx6…
